We’re pleased to introduce Chalet Blanchot to our chalet collection for the 2023/24 season.
Chalet Blanchot is a charming 12 bed chalet bursting with traditional alpine allure. Set within the idyllic landscapes of Meribel Mussillon, a stone's throw from Meribel Centre, Chalet Blanchot boasts enviable views across the Meribel Valley. These spellbinding views can be enjoyed from the delightful living space and all 6 bedrooms, each adorned with their own private balcony providing an enchanting spot of peace and tranquility for your morning coffee. All 6 bedrooms have been thoughtfully furnished and equipped with their own en-suite facilities making it an ideal choice for larger groups of both friends and families.
Return from the slopes each day to the roaring log fire, centrally located in the sociable living area. Or why not soothe those aches and pains in your private hot tub and sauna located on the expansive outdoor terrace, before being seated for your three course evening meal where wine flows freely around the spacious dining table. It’s the ultimate alpine adobe to relax and unwind as you recount stories from an action packed day on the slopes.
Those who wish to explore beyond the hygge of Chalet Blanchot, will be pleased to find that accessibility to the slopes and Meribel’s tempting array of retail outlets, restaurants and bustling nightlife could not be easier. Enjoy all that Meribel Centre has to offer in a short walk or by using the free Meribel bus service from the bus stop located less than a 2 minute walk from the chalet front door and arrive in the heart of the town within just a few moments.

All our classic catered chalets are hand-picked for their traditional alpine feel and superb locations. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast, sumptuous afternoon tea, and a three-course meal with free-flowing wine served by a friendly host in front of a cosy fire. The chalets are equipped with Nespresso machines and kept sparkling clean by your host throughout your stay.

We have a larger group, is there another Ski Basics chalet nearby?
Chalet Blanchot is located close by to the beautiful 10 bed Chalet L'Arbalète and a short walk from our trio of chalets, Chalet Chamois (8 bed), Chalet Brenettes (8 bed), and Chalet Lapin (6 bed).

How long does it take to get to the Meribel Centre?
From Chalet Blanchot you will reach Meribel Centre in an easy 10/15 minute walk, or hop on the Line A bus from right outside the chalet.

Do the staff live in at this chalet?
Staff live out of the chalet allowing you maximum privacy and space to enjoy your holiday. Staff will arrive quietly each morning to prepare your breakfast and leave once you have enjoyed your dinner service each evening.

How many days will we be catered for?
Your chalet staff will be on hand to prepare breakfast and dinner on 5 days and you will return to the chalet every day to freshly baked afternoon tea. Whilst they’re away, you will help yourselves to a full continental breakfast spread including fresh bread which will have been laid out for you. In the evenings you will have the opportunity to explore Meribel’s selection of fantastic local restaurants ranging from authentic italians to traditional savoyard delicacies. Fancy a night in? Your chalet manager is on hand to help with a range of delicious catering options including take away pizzas and your very own raclette.

Can you arrange ski passes and ski hire, etc?
Yes, absolutely. Your chalet manager will contact you in the run up to your trip and is on hand to handle all the details for you.

What are the check in/out times?
Except for December 2023*, check-in time is 16:00 on a Sunday afternoon and check-out at 10:00 on the following Sunday morning.
*Due to New Year’s eve 2023 falling on a Sunday, check-in and check-out will take place on Saturday throughout December with an extended 8 night stay over New Year’s Eve. From Sunday 7th January, check-in/check-out will revert to Sunday for the remainder of the season.
About Meribel ski resort
Meribel is situated in the world famous Three Valleys (Les 3 Vallées) in the French alps at an altitude of around 1,400 metres above sea level with its highest ski area being Mont Vallon at 3,000 metres. Alone, Meribel’s ski area is an impressive 150km, but linked with the entire Three Valleys, there is a whopping 600km of pistes.
The Three Valleys currently consists of 337 different pistes which includes 53 green, 136 blue, 113 red and 35 black runs. There are 166 ski lifts and over 2,000 snow canons.
