Romantic Lunch in Meribel
Le Clos Benard, Meribel
If you’re staying with us at Ski Basics with our classic or plus service meaning a delicious evening meal is already sorted, why not enjoy a romantic lunch on the mountain?
Le Clos Benard is a Meribel must and perfect for a romantic lunch spent with your loved one. Either ski through the forest to reach this hidden gem or catch a ride from the Altiport on the horse drawn carriage and be escorted through the snow right to the restaurant door. Be sure to speak to your manger who can assist you in making a reservation as this is a popular mountain hot spot, particularly during peak season.
Le Clos Benard is just one of the many beautiful restaurants that Meribel and the rest of The Three Valleys has to offer, so you are sure to be spoilt for choice.
Maya Altitude, Meribel
Maya Altitude has replaced Les Crêtes in its location just a short ski from the Tougnette 2 chairlift, open for the first time this 2021/22 season.
The completely renovated restaurant has capacity for 400 diners and boasts panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the Alps. The menu is comprised of high-end brassiere style dishes, with traditional mountain specialities on there too. To book a table during your stay, simply speak to your chalet manager who will be happy to arrange this for you.
Picnic Lunch
Alternatively, opt for something a little more personal and enjoy a pre-made lunch and panoramic views in one of the picnic chalets located throughout the resort. This chalet located on the Biche piste, can be accessed via the Sailure Express 2 gondola.
Ski to Mont Vallon, Meribel
Unrivalled views of the Meribel Valley can be found at the top of Mont Vallon. Mont Vallon stands at an impressive 2952m, the highest skiing point in Meribel and offers beautiful panoramic views over the Ge rolaz Glacier and Grand Casse.

Orelle Zip Wire
If you’re a couple looking for something a little different this valentine’s, why not ski to Orelle. Here you can take a ride on Europe’s highest zip line across to Val Thorens. Orelle is also the highest point in The Three Valleys, meaning you will be sure to enjoy some breathtaking views on the way down.
Hot Air-Balloon Ride
If you’re looking for some equally spectacular but a little less adrenaline inducing…why not soar the skies in a hot air-balloon and enjoy the breath-taking views of The Three Valleys from new heights. Hot air-balloons launch from Courchevel Altiport, for more information visit white tracks website.
Paragliding
Paragliding is another popular way to soar the skies over Meribel and would certainly make for a valentine’s to remember. When in Meribel, you will be launched either tandem or solo (plus your skis or board) from the top of Saulire or Col de Loze and the flights will last approximately 20 minutes. More information can also be found on the white tracks website or simply ask your chalet manager.
Spa Day
Alternatively enjoy a day away from the slopes. Meribel has a vast array for luxurious spas, offering the ultimate relaxation and recovery in a truly idyllic setting. For further details, speak to your chalet manager who will be on hand to assist with your booking.
Après
For those who are single in resort this valentine’s day or couple looking for a good party – make the most of Meribel’s highly regarded après scene.
First enjoy a party out on the terrace of one of Meribel’s most infamous après bars La Folie Douce or Le Rond Point, before heading down into resort to Jacks Bar – a firm favourite amongst Meribel’s regular visitors.
