From 3pm onwards, the apres ski commences DJs, live bands and dancers take to the stages of the infamous apres ski venues. If you wish, you can carry the party through until the early hours off the mountain down in the resort.

1. Folie Douce Meribel-Courchevel

Located at an altitude of 2100 metres at Saulire intermediate station, La Folie Douce Meribel welcomes you every day from 3 pm to 5 pm for its infamous apres ski party. 

apres ski MeribelOriginally launched in Val D’isere, La Folie Douce has since become an iconic apres ski bar known for its action packed performances under fireworks and champagne sprays everyday of the week. 

You’re likely to hear the pumping jazz sounds before you actually reach the bar and you can expect this to continue until the finale at 5 pm when the party closes and it’s time to ski back down to Meribel. Or, like many others, on to Le Rond Point to continue the party. If you’d prefer to give the lively ski down a miss, then simply hop back on the Sailure Express from the mid-station located just above the folie and ride back down to La Chaudanne. If you plan to take this route home, be sure to check the last lift as this will likely be shortly before closing at 5pm. 

From 11 am Folie Douce services great coffee and you can also grab lunch for their self serve cafeteria Le Petite Cuisine located inside from 11:45 am – 3:30 pm  or enjoy a more formal lunch setting outside on the terrace (just across from where the apres party will commence) at La Fruitière from 12 pm – 4pm. 

 

2. Le Rond Point (Ronnie’s) 

Located just above Meribel Centre, in the Morel area, Le Rond Point (more commonly known as Ronnie’s) is an iconic staple in the Meribel apres-ski scene, known for its live music and daily apres ski parties.

 If you’re in the mood for something quicker and even more casual, you can grab simple classics like burgers or noodles from the Ronnie Snack Bar, located right on the terrace entrance. 

Ronnie’s daily apres-ski party kicks off around 3 pm and runs until 7/7:30 pm, with a live house band playing from 5 to 6:30 pm. 

At Ronnie’s you’ll find a great mix of locals and holiday makers all making up Ronnie’s loyal following which draw from across the ski area year after year. It’s definitely not one to  be missed during a stay in Meribel and if you’re anything like us (and everyone else) you’ll be heading back each day after you’ve been once.

If you don’t fancy the ski down back into Meribel resort when the bar closes at 7:30pm, just in time for dinner, simply hop on the free, regular bus which operates from the roadside just outside the front of the bar itself. 

They also host a selection of events throughout the season with their infamous week long Ronnie Loves Music Festival taking place in March so be sure to check out their events page or social channels to see what’s on when you’re in town.

3. Jack’s Bar

Jack’s apres Ski Bar in Meribel is another top go-to spot and a firm favourite among returning guests. With its central Meribel location, just at the foot of the mountain, it’s perfectly placed for you to kick back and relax with friends straight off the slopes. 

The lively atmosphere is complemented by live music and a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails. If you’re feeling hungry, their delicious menu offers everything from pizzas to their signature Bad Boy Burger, packed with flavour. Whether you’re here for the drinks, the food, or the fun, you don’t want to miss it. 

 

4. O’Sullivans (Sullys)

When the late afternoon/early evening apres-ski winds down and you’re still in the mood to party, Sullys is the place to be. As Meribel’s premier late-night venue, it’s a short ten-minute walk from the centre, and well worth the journey for those looking to experience some of the biggest parties in town. 

Doors open at 10pm, but the party tends to get going properly after midnight with resident DJs, live music, and epic theme nights that go on until the early hours.
